As a parent or guardian of a student in grade 6 – 12, our goal is to partner with you in the faith formation of the next generation. We are passionate about students and about coming alongside them as they become committed followers of Jesus who strive to increasingly know Him, love Him, and live like Him.

Any time you need to reach out you can text our team. Youth Program

With the ever changing dynamics of our world, our Youth program adapts frequently to accommodate the latest provincial health orders by either meeting in person at our Trinity Church location with safety measures in place, or online via Zoom. View our in person Covid-19 safety plan here. 

Our program runs yearly from September to May. Summer events, volunteer opportunities, and discipleship options are made available in the summer months with our kick off event taking place the week after school’s reopen in the fall. Our programming pauses for Christmas, New Years and spring break.

We believe in investing relationally in order to challenge spiritually. Each of our small group volunteers lead a group of students in small group based activities, teachings, and discussions. While our emphasis is on a small group format, we frequently create environments for large group activities, games, experiences, teaching, and worship.

Student Safety

We work in a small group based structure and our programming is structured to always function in a way that facilitates the relationships that students have both with each other and with their volunteer leaders. All volunteers with the Youth ministry undergo a thorough and comprehensive vetting process to ensure the safety and security of the students in our community. 

We vet and equip our volunteers through multiple streams:

• Bi-yearly training events on the spiritual, emotional and physical safety of our students.
• Partnership with the Youth Worker Community and participation in their training events
• Plan to Protect training and course completion
• Reference vetting
• Formal application submission and approval
• Interview(s) conducted by the Youth staff
• Criminal Record Checks
• Consistent and available wholistic support from the Trinity Church staff team

Do you love Jesus and have a passion for working with teenagers? The Youth team is always looking to expand and welcome in new volunteers. Whether you are amazing at greeting people and making them feel welcome, or love having conversations about faith with students, we have a need for you!

A sample of some of the volunteer roles in our team are:

• Logistics Team
  • Check in / Greeters
  • Campus security and emergency team
    Members of this team are the behind the scenes glue that makes everything run smoothly and know what the plan of action is in case of emergency.
• Small Group Leader
  SGL’s are the key spiritual leaders in the lives of our students. They have a sincere love for students to know and love Jesus. We believe in investing relationally in order to challenge spiritually. SGL’s do life together with students.
• Small Group Leader Coach
  Coaches are seasoned youth leaders who act as the key support to our small group leaders. They encourage, and equip our SGL’s.
• Special Events Team
  Want to help at Youth but don’t have a schedule that allows for anything very regular? The special events team joins us for those BIG moments where we head off on a weekend retreat, plan a Christmas party, or run any experience outside of our regular youth programming.

That just scratches the surface of the skills our team is looking for. We’re also on the lookout to include people for tech, worship, photography, bus driving, counsellors etc!
