Due to COVID-19 regulations, groups, classes, and courses are not meeting in-person until further notice. During this unique season check out the virtual opportunities below we have for connection and growth.
We believe in living life the way God created us to live it – in community. Joining a group is your first step in building authentic relationships to discuss both real life and practical faith. Groups consist of 3 or more people who come together as they are to invest relationally, meet regularly and pursue spiritual growth.
In this season, I know 3-5 people that I will commit to meeting with regularly to check in on one another, to grow in faith together, and to pray together.
You’re wondering about opportunities to share your desire to follow Jesus these days but wondering who else might be interested? All conferenced out but want to see other faces from our church family?
Join Pastor Josh for this quick, but significant 45 minutes together. We will gather as a medium group for a few minutes, dive into smaller breakout rooms to chat through the Going Deeper questions for this past week’s sermon, and then come back together at 8:00pm for a chance to pray and close our time.
Even if we can’t be sharing the same physical space in light of the COVID-19 pandemic – we believe we are called to be “together” (and we are actually better when together!) We want to be able to connect to the needs of each other – whether they be physical, emotional, mental, or spiritual.
So, we have created groups to help encourage connection amidst this season of social distancing – to speak words of encouragement, faith, hope and love to the neighbours in the community in which you live – to find out who lives close by you from the Trinity Church family, and – to stay up-to-date with the changing way we are needing to be the church. We will also direct you to the livestream for services as well as devotionals on a regular basis.
Below is a list our Digital Neighbourhoods. Please join the group only for the neighbourhood in which you live (or the neighbourhood closest to where you live) – as we journey together to continue to discover how big God is in all situations. If you have neighbours, friends, or family who would be blessed by being part of any of these groups, please share the link for their specific neighbourhood with them:
If you are looking for online content, we have a resource called RightNow Media with amazing studies that will help encourage you in your faith. If you do not have an account, email Becky at firstname.lastname@example.org and she will sign you up.
What’s the point of this season of life right now?
We are set to explore conversations about life, faith and meaning as we adapt our regular Alpha groups to an online format. Explore the questions you have about faith and God, share your perspective, and hear others’ stories.
There is new-found flexibility in hosting Alpha online and in small groups, so sign up today! We have leaders who are ready to host you. We offer this Tuesdays OR Thursdays. Pick which day that you can commit to for the sessions, and then come ready to spark conversations and explore.
From the comfort of your own home, you can contribute your own perspective in an honest & friendly setting, around a digital table.
Following Jesus was never intended to be done alone. Attending weekend services is great but that can’t be it. From the very beginning (Genesis 1) God said that it is not good for us to be alone. That’s why we do life together in groups.
A Trinity Group consists of 3 or more people (with an equipped leader) that meets regularly, invests relationally, and challenges each other spiritually. That’s it. It’s that simple. This fall, this takes shape in various medium sized groups being held at Trinity for a 7 week period. It is a great way to get a taste of what Trinity Groups are like, without the long term commitment.
Trinity Groups are a come-as-you-are, no-perfect-people environment where you are welcome, no matter where you find yourself in your spiritual journey. Whether you have never prayed before in your life or are comfortable praying in front of the group, have memorized your Bible or have never opened the Book, you are welcome. Trinity Groups are there to meet you wherever you find yourself in your spiritual life and walk alongside you as you grow in faith, tackling questions and concerns along the way.
Leading a Trinity Group isn’t about being perfect; it’s about serving others by giving them a place to connect. Hosting a small group is simple—choose a topic that interests you and select a time and location to meet with others to share it. We equip you with the essential tools to help your group succeed. Your leadership can provide an environment that inspires people into a growing relationship with Jesus. Lead on.
While we know that a living room setting strikes a chord for some, this approach does not appeal to everyone. We believe that regular meetings where relational investment and spiritual growth happens can be achieved in many contexts. We aim to have a variety of groups available (including both home and affinity groups) in the near future.
