We believe that Jesus has called us to “go and make disciples of all nations.” There are a multitude of organizations that we partner with that come along side the disadvantaged, exploited and aid in ending the cycle of poverty.
Due to COVID-19 there are no upcoming dates at the moment.
PERU CHURCH PLANT
In May of 2019, we had the privilege to partner with Compassion and fund the construction of an essential core structure for a new church and launch a Compassion-assisted child development centre in Monte Grande, Jaen, Cajamarca, Peru. We were able to contribute to growing the Church in an area that greatly needed the message of Jesus. To see the construction and entire progress of the building, follow the button below.
We love partnering and participating with community organizations focused on making a difference in the Okanagan Valley, like:
Central Okanagan Community Food Bank (COCFB)
The COCFB’s mission is to assist in alleviating chronic hunger and poverty in the Central Okanagan. Established in 1983, the COCFB, then named Kelowna Food Bank set up operation in a church basement to meet emergency food needs for the community. Over the next two decades, the Kelowna Food Bank grew from serving 600 people per year to nearly 2,500 individuals per month, with nearly a third of them children under age 16.
KCR acts as the gateway to community information and volunteer opportunities from Lake Country to Peachland by maintaining ‘first stop’ computer access to region-wide information about community groups, government programs and health services as well as the volunteer opportunities they offer. They also organize volunteer management and providing leadership in organizing the annual Okanagan Volunteer Opportunities Fair.
It’s important to partner with intentional, strategic and fantastic organizations, like:
International Justice Mission
International Justice Mission Canada is a human rights organization that secures justice for victims of slavery, sexual exploitation and other forms of violent oppression, in partnership with U.S. based International Justice Mission (IJM). IJM lawyers, investigators and aftercare professionals work with local officials to ensure immediate victim rescue and aftercare, to prosecute perpetrators and to ensure that public justice systems – police, courts and laws – effectively protect the poor.
Operation Christmas Child provides an opportunity for people of all ages to be involved in a simple, hands-on project of Samaritan’s Purse that focuses on the true meaning of Christmas- Jesus Christ- God’s greatest gift. By packing a shoebox for children in need, you’re showing them that kind-heartedness exists and that God loves them.
