Life is
meant to be spent together

Cultivate Connection

As we dive into our Cultivate series this April,

take the time to linger after our weekend services. We’ll have great food in Higher Grounds and there’s nothing like grabbing some food and sitting at a table with a few “soon to be” friends.

Good food gathers us. Conversations keep us there.

April 7 through 21, 2024 after each service.

Ask the question, “What is your favourite thing to do during an Okanagan spring?”

"And in Him you too are being built together become a dwelling in which God lives by His Spirit."

Ephesians 2:22

Why join a community group?

Group life is necessary to following the way of Jesus. In the same way that Jesus gathered with His disciples, we gather to engage with Jesus’ thoughts, words, actions, and experience life change together. Groups are the proactive approach to life; it’s how we celebrate, reflect, grieve, doubt, laugh, cry, wrestle with God, and take the “next step”. Diving into community isn’t just something we do on occasion; it’s a way of life.

Life is better together

God works through each one of us at our own pace. Take the next step by joining a group today.

Join a group

Your potential is greatest in togetherness. If you’re looking to join an existing group, fill out a connect card so we can explore community close to you.

A groups map is in the works, where you will be able to see groups near you.

Start a group

Guiding a group is easier than you think. It’s a place for great conversation and connection. As a guide, you’ll receive mentorship and training on how to journey well with a group, so don’t let inexperience or doubt hold you back.

Frequently Asked Questions

Following Jesus was never meant to be done alone. We know that attending weekend services are awesome, but we also know that it can’t end there. From the very beginning (Genesis 1), God said that it is not good for us to be alone. That’s why we do life together in groups throughout the week.

Groups are gatherings of 3 to 10 people that work together in developing the essential skills of a disciple. Gather weekly to explore God’s work and personally reflect and discover what God is doing around you. These are safe, discerning environments to bring faith and doubt while also celebrating well when you experience God at work.

Good news! You already qualify! Trinity Groups are a come-as-you-are, no-perfect-people environment where you are welcome, no matter where you find yourself on your spiritual journey. Whether you have never prayed before in your life or you’re comfortable praying in front of the group, have memorized your Bible or have never opened it, you are welcome. Community Groups are here to walk alongside you as you grow in your faith, tackle hard questions, and journey through the ups and downs or life.

Guiding a Trinity Community Group isn’t about being perfect; it’s about serving others by giving them a place to connect. Hosting a small group is simple—choose a topic that interests you and select a time and location to meet with others to share it. We equip you with the essential tools to help your group succeed. Your leadership can provide an environment that inspires people into a growing relationship with Jesus. Lead on.

While we know that a living room setting strikes a chord for some, this approach does not appeal to everyone. We believe that regular meetings where relational investment and spiritual growth happens can be achieved in many contexts. We aim to have a variety of groups available, including both home and affinity groups.

EQUIPPING YOU FOR LIFE WITH JESUS

Group Resources

We believe in providing you a variety of resources to help you along in your faith and leadership journey. Each resource exists to help you do one of three essential tasks of a disciple: read, pray, or connect.

Each week, groups take the weekend teaching deeper. Committed to the scriptures, looking inward and looking outward, we discover more about God, ourselves and others. Download this week’s guide by clicking here.

If you’re looking for previous week’s conversation guides, find them in our DropBox here.

We know that Scripture transforms our lives and how we love God with all our heart, soul, mind & strength. The practice of Lectio gives you an opportunity to reflect on scripture twice daily. 24/7 Prayer equips us with an app to bring these reflections with you wherever you take your mobile device. Take the trinity church

Values Survey

We believe that God is doing great things at Trinity and we want to continue to move towards being the healthiest church we can be. Our goal will be to clarify the following questions:

1. What is our God-inspired mandate at Trinity (mission)?
2. What motivates us (values)?
3. Where are we going as a church (vision)?
4. What must we strategically focus on in the next few years?
