In consideration of the public health concerns related to COVID-19, we are not currently hosting in-person services or programs at Trinity Church Kelowna. However, our Trinity Kids team is committed to partnering with parents and is working hard to create resources for families to engage with at home.

In this season, here’s what happening each week in Trinity Kids:

Tuesday – Preschool On-Demand goes live on YouTube at 10:30 AM

Parent and Child Dedication - On Hold

Children are God’s gift to you! As you begin this amazing journey together as a family, we want to partner with you as you dedicate yourself and your child to God. At Trinity, we are committed to helping you as parents have the best possible family life together. We consider it a privilege to be able to participate in this dedication of your family. Due to Covid-19 our next dedication services that were scheduled to take place on April 25, 2020 are on hold. If you are wanting to take this next step as a family, please stay tuned for our next Parent and Child Dedication dates.

Charged Up! On Hold

In light of recent measures taken to stay ahead of the Covid-19 pandemic, we have decided to press pause on upcoming Charged Up! events.

While the event is some time away, we anticipate heightened social-distancing measures will extend beyond the next couple of weeks. Please stay tuned with us as we work to keep our community connected online, and safe

We encourage you to be actively connected with friends and family while practicing social distancing. Pick up the phone, send a text, FaceTime, etc. We are built for community and what a time to Lead with Love.

VOLUNTEER

If you’re all about being hands-on with kids, we have spots for you! We would love to have you partner with us in Nursery where you can snuggle and love on our babies and toddlers, in Preschool where we get to share God’s love through worship and play with our 2 to 5 year old kids and in Grade School where we get to dig deeper in God’s word with our Kindergarten through Grade 6 kids.

We also have a need for first friendly faces to meet and greet our families, check in and check out system volunteers, craft preparations and special event planners who make a difference in the lives of kids each week!

NURSERY

Trinity Kids Nursery Ages 6 weeks – 2 years

Nursery is all about investing in the youngest of the next generation. Through care, compassion, and interaction with your infant, crawler, walker, or two year old, we create an environment that shows church is a fun and safe place where we plant seeds of faith for their future.

PRESCHOOL

Trinity Kids Preschool Ages 3 years – 5 years

Preschool is all about capitalizing on the joy and energy that preschoolers bring! Because preschoolers are hands on, we provide interactive learning centres, games, singing, dancing, and crafts that bring the Bible to life for our kids and make Jesus fun! We want our children to know that God made them, God loves them, and Jesus is their forever friend.

GRADE SCHOOL

Trinity Kids Grade School Ages 5 years – 11 years

We are passionate about helping our Grade School kids discover how they can love God, love others, and change the world through Christ – all at their level. We want what we teach to be relevant and applicable to their everyday life so we provide live interactive teaching, exciting videos that reinforce the lesson, and vibrant worship that focuses on kids discovering three things: I need to make the wise choice, I can trust God no matter what, and I should treat others the way I want to be treated. All this with a primary focus on small groups where kids will find a safe place to belong and a leader who believes in them.

SAFETY & SECURITY

Your children are God’s gift to you – and our responsibility at Trinity is to keep them safe and secure. In AdventureLand, we have policies and procedures in place to watch over your children when you entrust them into our care.

We will work with screened and trained staff and volunteers.

We work with a program called “Plan to Protect” and work through a 7 step plan to be sure that those who work with our children are screened, trained and ready to do their best for your kids.

Our programs will be thought through with safety and security in mind.

As we plan our weekly program, our special events and our day camps, we think about what we are doing, how we are doing it and what affect that may have on the children in our care.

Our facilities will be thought through with safety and security in mind.

That means we have outlet covers on all the plugs in our nursery and preschool areas. That means we restrict access to some of our hallways while our programs are in session.

Check In System

Children’s safety is our number one concern here at Trinity. We have implemented an electronic sign in system to ensure the security of your children while in our care. Each child is given a unique number each time they sign in for a service. At that time, a parent tag is printed off along with a name tag for your child. The parent tag is required when you pick up your child from their classroom. Allergies and health concerns are now indicated by a color code system so that our volunteers know exactly what your child’s needs are. In the event your assistance is required for your child during a service, their unique number will flash in RED on a small screen located on the right hand side of the stage in the auditorium.

It is important to ensure your information regarding your children is correct in our system so that we have the most up to date information we need while they are in our care. If you need to verify or change your information, please email the Trinity Kids team at trinitykids@trinitykelowna.ca.

ADVENTURE ZONE DAY CAMPS

Happy 2020! We are excited about this new year and all that we have planned for kids and families. Even with all of this snow out there, we know many of you are already making plans for your summer, so we wanted to let you know when Adventure Zone Day Camps will be taking place for 2020! We will be “Roar”ing into the summer, trekking through the Serengeti and learning that even when life is wild – God is good and He is there for us. It will be an epic expedition!
