Life is challenging. Trinity Care extends support to you through our Life Solutions classes, listed below, which can help develop the knowledge and skills you’ll need to be more effective in living your life.
Surviving Grief – the Loss of a Loved One (no cost)
The death of a loved one has a profound effect on all areas of our life. Come join us as we look at how grief impacts us, how we can survive it and ultimately live daily through our broken heartedness. The group begins on May 1, 7:00 to 9:00pm at Trinity Church and will run four weeks (May 1, 8, 15, 22). The group is here for your support and education and each night there will be a stand-alone topic around grief. This is a drop-in group and you are welcome to attend one or all of them. Please come 10 minutes before our starting time.
The groups are led by two experienced facilitators and there is no cost for this experience. Please register here. Or, you may call the church and speak to Jennifer to register.
Boundaries are personal property lines that define who you are and who you are not and influence all areas of your life. Do you struggle with saying no, not feeling guilty or worry about hurting someone? This program teaches Biblically-based methods on how to set healthy limits with a parent, spouse, child, friend, co-worker and even yourself while still being a loving person. It will leave you feeling empowered without guilt or fear. The class runs weekly on 8 Tuesdays. Our next session will start near the end of September.
Find help. Discover hope. Experience healing. You’ll find a caring group of people who will walk with you through one of life’s most difficult experiences. You’ll hear practical advice that can help you heal from your separation and divorce through video teaching, group discussion and using the personal notebook guide you’ll receive. You’ll hear things that will help you put your life back together. Divorce Care runs 12 weeks and we hope to schedule another class in the Fall.
Countless individuals have invested themselves into people who’ve shipwrecked their lives in return. They’ve been abandoned or taken advantage of and left with little to show for what they’ve given. They’ve lost the sense of security and personal value in the process. If you’re one who has chosen the wrong people to get involved with or makes the same mistakes about relationships over and over again, then Safe People and it’s Christian-based principles may offer you a remedy. It’s a 7 week class and we hope to run this again this Fall or in Spring 2019.
Bridges to Freedom
This class offers emotional healing, spiritual renewal and personal development accomplished through the guidance of an experienced facilitator, the mutual support of fellow travellers and God’s powers. You’ll find hope, self-confidence, insight and triumph over self-defeating behaviours that hijack your closest relationships, healing from past hurts and the freedom to be yourself and all that God meant you to be. We use music, video and creative ways of experiential learning for a more powerful and dynamic weekend. We’ll be offering 2 to 3 weekend sessions in the Fall.
